In the past I've have been known as Scott Baldwin, and my nom-de-net of Roserunner. Some people know me better by my AFM roadrace race number of 47(retired).
I am a Zen master of High Speed Meditation. that ties in nicely with my side job as a Dance Floor Inspector. As if that isn't enough, I also have a web site business, Bodacious Web Services. If you want to know how I got to here in my professional life, here's a link to my resume.
I used to be married, liked that. Now I'm single, not liking that as much. It was a good marriage for a long time, and we had several children. They are all big enough to be self-supervising these days. If you want to know more about 'em, just ask me.
I've been riding bikes since forever. Bicycles when I was a kid, motorcycles since then. I like bicycles, but I can go a lot further on one with an engine :-) I tend to hang with the fast guys on the fast bikes. I raced motorcycles for twenty years, and have rebuilt almost every bike I've ever owned. Right now, I have a couple of street bikes and several dirt bikes. You know what they say "Speed Thrills". At the first Fontana National I got real close to Kenny Robert's bike. Too bad my haircut wasn't as slick as his bike :-)
Almost every summer I go to Laguna Seca for the motorcycle races at Laguna Seca. The campsite mornings are usually foggy, but I brought my a British bike last time, so a bit of moisture in the air was no problem. Here's a shot of the campsite, complete with my green Triumph Speed Triple and Silverado pickup truck. It's always a great weekend, which keeps bringing me back for more.
I greatly enjoy the music scene in the Bay Area. Every band that tours America hits the Bay Area. I've taken advantage of this and enjoyed many fine concerts featuring "...dim lights , thick smoke and loud loud music." I like music with clean picking, where I can look around the stage and see what I clearly hear each musician playing. Anyway I love music, and I've danced while a lot of it was performed live. Recently, I discovered partner dancing, which is way more fun than I thought it would be.
Right now, I've teamed up with Mark Erickson to offer posters and a Nethead t-shirt as bonuses for hooking us up with tickets to Friday's show by The Dead at The Warfield.
